Out of curiosity I measured the Fast Tracks #7 template to compare it with the
Southern Pacific drawing (C.S.1122). The Fast Tracks point to frog is 59 1/2
feet, the Southern Pacific standard is 63 1/4 feet. That is just under 3/4 inch
difference in S Scale.

In the SP drawing, a #9 is 9 feet longer than a #7, so I guess an S.P #6 would
be about 5 feet shorter than a #7. That means the Fast Tracks #7 is slightly
longer than an S.P #6. I guess that's closer than the "too short" Shinoharas.
