If you are interested in more of Jack Delano's photography, Classic Trains
magazine ran an article on him within the last few years as part of their
series on great photographers. It features a fair amount of his color work
during the early 40's. I can't tell you the exact issue because the MRR index
is gone - boy do I miss that resource.
Also James Valle's book "The Iron Horse at War" is done predominantly with
Delano's B&W photography including Proviso in the winter - with some of those
infamous "X" door C&NW box cars...
