The Cryer-Grey 0-6-0 project was supposed to be a simple S scale adaptation of the previously produced HO models. That was to save money, time and reinventing the wheel. John managed to over-engineer the project, as usual for him. That's when the problems began. I've never seen so many CAD drawings of small parts as he sent me. You would have thought it was a full scale locomotive.
When the Sn3 Symposium was in Florida (2-3 years ago?), Jimmy Booth told me 30 days before that Boo Rim was actually meeting with them there to discuss their P-B-L projects. I told John about this and gave him the dates & contact info. If he had really intended to do the 0-6-0 project, he could have had a face-to-face with Boo Rim in Florida. It was a cheap plane trip. Thank God for people like Bill Peter & Jimmy Booth (and many, many others in S) who have ALWAYS delivered on their promises...for 30 years now in Sn3.
