Hi --
Not to throw cold water on Peter's excellent work (I wish I had his
precision and thoroughness!), but also available are
Weaver Models telephone pole kits in a couple of sizes. I found that
shortening the cross arms and removing unnecessary insulators (none need to
be removed -- I just didn't need all that were cast on) makes them quite
suitable for S. The poles are tapered from about 1/4" to 3/16" and can be
shortened to fit the scene without causing trouble. There are some
painting and finishing tips that are included.
