I hope all agree because I have seen some of Mike's earlier work on the
S-Trains list and it is really nice. S Scale apples is an interesting
twist. All hand made if memory serves me.

Plus I'm sure I'm not the only one on this list who has a combination of
S Scale, Hi Rail and AF.

I started in AF at minus 4 months (dad bought me a train set for
Christmas '48 and I was born the following April) so I guess I've been
in S longer than I've been alive.

I have since been scratchbuilding scale cars and adding mostly scale to
my collection but on occasion I will add an AF piece I really like.

My big decision now that I am looking for a retirement home with space
for a layout is how to build it to accommodate both scale and hi-rail.

I'm debating between code 131 rail that handles both or having 2
sections, 1 for hi-rail/AF equipment and 1 for scale. Since I will be
either hand laying or using SHS or other commercial track, not AF, I
believe the scale should run nicely on the hi-rail part, just not the
opposite.

Any comments before I get started would be appreciated before I start
acquiring track.
