"S"eems to me that once you start to improve upon ACGilbert's off-the-shelf
products, you have become a hi-railer. Merely placing additional wood ties
between the AF metal ties represents improvement. Now you are modeling instead
of purchasing. Being a hi-rail modeler with a layout under construction is not
a bad place to be. With time and experience, you will advance down this path
to some other point where you will be totally comfortable and supremely self
confident. Enjoy the journey and don't worry too much about what others will
think. If they don't like it or think it is inappropriate, they will tell you.
Either they or you can hit the delete button at that time. This List is
intended to be all things to all people -- except pure AF. I am sure the
Moderators will correct me if I have the wrong opinion here. Have fun...Ed L.
