You've piqued my curiosity, Michael, may I ask what those reasons for modeling
perfection are?

I work and live among the Swiss, and they are known for attention to detail.
For example, among machine manufacturers, if a functional part which will be
invisible to the customer (inside the machine let's say) is produced with
cosmetic irregularities - and I mean only cosmetic, such as a slightly
different shade of color - it is rejected. For justifiable reasons they are
watchmakers and known as the Japanese of Europe...

I've heard this a lot of times. This thought implies that the only reason
to build a model is so that someone else will see it. I can think of at least
two other reasons to build a model.
