A pertinent question; since I dipped my toe into the S scale water after many
years of just occasional observation from other scales I
have acquired just one (not a pair) Northeastern truck, unless the pair of
leafspring Andrews I have is also by them. They seem to be
much less common on the secondary market than Ace trucks, perhaps because they
were not produced for so long? Not that there
is anything wrong about either American or SHS trucks, which are more than
satisfactory, but just that it is always nice to have choices.
