I have only the one, which was not particularly collectible (none of my AF
items are, as I can't imagine paying a premium for something I intend
to rework anyway, so the collectors mostly will not be frustrated and
outraged), lacking brakewheel, a corner step and the paint and lettering
scratched. I touched the paint up while adding scale details so hesitate to
strip and repaint it--not that I have a great use for the factory-scheme,
which is the Peabody Coal captive-service operation (one of the more stupid
marketing ideas)--but that it seems to be a less-common one than
the others I see. It would be interesting to have another one or two to paint
and reletter, so if there are low-budget grey-market shells around,
that sounds like something I would want; after all, it is only the shell I
need. Thanks for the background, and I shall be looking for a couple at
shows. Probably if I want more than the one or two, I shall buy AM triples,
which are much more what I'd want.
