If you buy the urethane casting material from the foundry supply firms you will 
not have that problem. That is ALL  I ever used.

  Subject to Bill's thoughts on this, but for 85' I'm thinking shrinkage would
  have to be taken into account depending on the mass of the roof cross
  section. Using the available Micro Marc resins, long castings are prone to
  significant longitudinal shrinkage. The AM roof ends are basically flat so
  perhaps castings could be made oversize and sanded on a disc sander to fit a
  jig. 

  The JC models roofs are milled basswood and just a tad long, additionally I
  recall JC (not Chester) made a casting of the entire end that fit over the
  end of the roof millwork and hid the end grain. If you make the end castings
  as JC did, then shrinkage can be easily accommodated by slightly over-sizing
  the roof piece.
