Thanks to those who responded. To those who mentioned having RS-2/3
parts they could spare, I'll send a photo of the problem part with some
basic measurements, but I sort of doubt if they are interchangeable.

I did contact Jeff Smith at Railmaster where he is apparently in the
final stages of being able to sell such a drive unit under the North
Yard name. This is not listed on his price list but a photo of a
finished diesel is in his photo section, but there is no indication if
it was some item that Steam Depot sold or a North Yard chassis. There
is a big difference in the final quality. He indicated the price at $165.

So with several options available things will be okay in the
end--eventually.

Now on to the next problem and that is the drives for the Sunset diesels
that I started some time ago. All the Houston guys who owned them went
to a delrin chain drive many years ago. However we had a few of the
sprockets split causing rough running. If I can get a bracket made at
an acceptable price, I might have a fairly simple solution. I don't
know how many owners of those engines would like to make this change but
if enough people are interested we can certainly make up additional
units. This bracket requires four 90 degree bends, four .080 holes and
two much larger holes drilled in the proper place. If this can happen
the conversion could done in one evening.

If you guys respond off list--I'll keep a tally. However this won't
happen over-night either.
