If you are an SP modeler, I would recommend the following books:
Southern Pacific Freight Cars: Volume 3 - Automobile Cars and Flat Cars by
Anthony Thompson
Southern Pacific Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment, Volume 1, by
Anthony Thompson
Both books have color photos of the prototype SP TOFC car which is very close
match to the SHS SP TOFC car. In fact I stripped and painted 10 SHS flats and
trailers to match. Of course once I had spent the many hours doing this
project, SHS decided to release their model. <VBG>
