Steven: I used AM caboose trucks with NWSL wheels (I think), because they simulate friction bearing trucks, more in keeping with my era.
However, during my time on Santa Fe (mid-'60's to 1989), Santa Fe cabooses used both friction and roller bearing trucks. Incidentally, AM and SHS wheels are interchangeable in each others trucks. AM wheels are insulated on one side, while SHS wheels are insulated on both sides, which may enter into choice deliberations. Also, AM wheels are Code 125, and SHS are Code 110. If I'm wrong on that, I'm sure someone will correct me.
