  Before you try to gap a real switch practice on some scrap track. Due to the 
body diameter of the tool It takes an angled plunge cut to get the thinnest gap 
(using small thin disks). Also wear good eye protection as lots of rail metal 
and wheel dust gets thrown off when cutting.....dave
