     We are only having 30-35 knot winds here in COLUMBIA, SC.  Mostly clear 
and 87 here today.

      Dear Tom,

  According to the NY Times map, Columbia, SC was out of harms way.  I am at my 
son's house in Fayetteville, NC and we are just on the edge of the storm.  Some 
rain and wind, but not much else.  I am more worried about our warehouse In NJ 
which is only 2 miles from Raritan Bay.  But, I suspect Irene will only be a 
tropical storm by the time it gets to there.

PS I found a better way to track the storm than a cable channel trying to 
increase ratings by hyping the worse possible scenario...
