  As for your code 100 atlas conversions I can say they do look very nice in 
person. I haven't seen yours but I found a couple of old atlas switches a few 
years ago and tried it. I cut one apart down the centerline, added a bit of 
length between the frog and points then glued the pieces to a sheet of styrene 
switch base. The atlas ties are oversize enough and spaced far enough apart to 
look fine in S scale and the missing center part of the ties can either be 
replaced with scrap tie material or just filled with ballast to over the tie 
tops so it's not apparent. I wish I could find the one I converted to take a 
photo but it's lost somewhere in my "collection". In my case I decided that it 
din't take me much longer to glue down wooden ties and spike the rail to them 
than it did to convert the atlas switches but I'd have been very satisfied with 
them if I did use them. Much better than any code 148 track for 
sure....DaveBranum
