Peter,
I'd like to ask honest questions about your replies.

1. I don't see that the NASG has taken advantage of all those assets you
mention. How much funding would a digital publication take?

2. If we care at all about the greater "model railroad community", and if the
NASG BOT has so many advantages over the great unwashed, how the heck has the S
SIG stood dormant with a fictitious contact for so long? I've thought about
joining it many times only to see Richard Bendever's name and give it up. It
even became the final straw that got me out of the NMRA. If we can't fix it, it
should at least be erased from the NMRA web site to end the embarassment.

3. The 1/64th Modeling Guide is a for profit business.  We need a free, digital
pub that the slightest curiosity will compell folks to download. Since Bob is
struggling to make ends meet, how about if we commission him to explore the
possibilities as a paid consultant? He's going digital anyway and should have
more knowledge about the details. I'm sure most of us would chip in something
to get the ball rolling.

I'm not looking to pick a fight. I just think we care more about S Scale than
anyone else including the BOT. Let's do something instead of just talk. Where
else can we go other than here? I'm just not happy leaving everything to
government.
