Given the thread title, wouldn't it be great if an S Scaler who had sold their
HO on eBay to finance their S said so in an article that got published?

I was highly amused that my simple question of who had 69 locomotives released
a deluge of confessions. Maybe there are HO guys who feel like they just have
too many somethings, and would like to find a way to simplify, acquire fewer,
higher quality somethings. Maybe changing scales is the easiest way to part
with too many somethings.
