Hi Andre, That's the normal thing for most of us. We get busy or try other
hobbies and put modeling on the shelf for a period of months or even years then
something inspires us and we start up again.
As for model railroaders that are professional railroaders there's quite a few
in my experience. Two retired SP guys have built layouts near me over the years
and I've corresponded with others so you might find a re-newed interest after
