I agree - I went through a serious period of inactivity when these new 
"progressive" work rules went into effect, which meant I worked three times as 
hard to stay even while my employers stuffed their pockets with obscene salary 
and bonus compensations.

They didn't like it when I pointed out the fact that the 8-million bonus they 
gave the head honcho is what would have been required to upgrade the bridge 
over the Missouri River and get out from under the horrendous highway-robbery 
the UP was charging to use their bridge.

Non the less, the honcho got his bonus, and the bridge still languishes, pulled 
closed for limited use (I think, that was in 1998) after the shipping season on 
the Missouri River shuts down for the winter
