But the idea of an unjudged or popular-vote-judged "bring and display" area, in the contest room or elsewhere, should be pursued. I've put things together that I thought were unique or creative, but definitely didn't involve contest-quality modelling. Encouraging convention attendees to bring and display such items is a good idea, and should not require the permission of the NASG. But dropping the traditional judged contests may be more difficult.
