But here's another idea. You or I might have something very speical, but we can't enter it in a contest because we paid a buddy for major help or to paint. Putting special cars or locomotives on a layout that has been brought is another possibility, but I once brought something special to a convention or spree or fest, don't remember, and asked if they wanted another car to run.
