I remember that Model Railroader magazine had a favorable review of the AM
boxcar. None of the problems with the roof, ends and underbody were mentioned.
You are right about old school kits. When I bought my first AM boxcar I had
several underway, including Midgage, Super Scale and Perma Bilt. I haven’t
looked at them since then, though some day I do intend to finish them.
