Roy, With you on that. I purchased about ten AM box cars many years ago. The highest price I ever paid was $17.00 per car. If I have to change the ends, I will and have done so on some. I think someone could write a good article on kitbashing AM box cars to be prototypical. As I stated in an earlier post, several roads had cars of 10' 0" IH and diagonal paneled roofs. Unfortunately, the ends differed from what the AM box cars have. If I knew how many roads had such cars, I would write the article myself, but I know only of two roads. In fact, more had such cars, but it was not a large group.
