MTH has no financial interest in Lionel, save for the contract to build and
offer O and Standard Gauge tinplate with the Lionel branding and pay the
royalty.
It was a simple business decision by Lionel as MTH was already tooled up for a
wide variety of tinplate products and the costs would have been prohibitive to
tool up for a market that's probably smaller than S.
Lionel Corporation Tinplate is pure MTH, right down to using MTH's DCS command
control system, and is marketed and sold by MTH's network.
