I am going to upload some additional passenger car underbody photos later today, but here is another example of a water tank mounting on the bottom of the center sill.
This is a larger water tank on a B&O Pullman Standard 10&6 sleeper Tygart. The two boxes with the sloping tops are, I think, covers clean-out valves for the water tanks.
