Darn shame, too, that Kadee is so cold toward S. Oh well... their loss. But as for a small gear box that will fit in tight spaces (such as SHS F-Units and SHS Ore Cars)... ... don't worry, I got that covered. Design of my "Tight Clearance" box is already complete and will be the second in my line of draft gear boxes. Yes, this gear box is designed specifically around the new Sergent coupler's design, but Kadee couplers can be adapted to fit it very easily.

This is a short coupler box coupler. The KD802 coupler box touched the Blomberg truck gearbox, so a shorter one was needed. We begged Larry Edwards (then of Kadee) to make these for us in "S" with the same screw spacing as the KD802. But, he said they made all of the S couplers that they wanted and did not care if we made our version. So we did. I hope that MTH reintroduces that #01295 couplers as we have had many requests for this coupler. Don
