Dear Dan, Our #00588 and #01295 were based on the Kadee HO #30. This is a short coupler box coupler. The KD802 coupler box touched the Blomberg truck gearbox, so a shorter one was needed. We begged Larry Edwards (then of Kadee) to make these for us in "S" with the same screw spacing as the KD802. But, he said they made all of the S couplers that they wanted and did not care if we made our version. So we did. I hope that MTH reintroduces that #01295 couplers as we have had many requests for this coupler. Don
