I have shot old-formula Floquil (Dio-Sol) and Scalecoat I on plastic, but you
need to test it first and be careful that you are not laying it on "wet." I
would not recommend this unless someone has done a fair amount of painting with
an airbrush and is sure of his thinning ratios and technique.

Maybe someone will tell me otherwise, but urethane is different from the
plastics used in injection molding. I don't think urethane crazes with most
solvents. I typically use acrylics on resin models, but my choice there was for
other reasons.
