Hi Jack;

There  were quite a few railroads that had non-REA express services after WWII. 
Most were initially on-line only, but the cars tended to stray off-line after a 
while.

Examples would be the SP black and later silver boxcars, and the CNJ green 
express cars. At least the CNJ cars were passenger equipped, and letter for 
specific on-line routes.
