I looked up the referenced photos in RPC Vols. 6 & 8 and noticed the cars were 
delivered with Allied Full Cushion trucks.  Not sure how long they stayed that 
way as those trucks were eventually outlawed for interchange, but Allied Full 
Cushion trucks were made in S scale by River Raisin Models.  Don't know if they 
are still availble but it might be an interesting option for passenger train 
service.   

High speed trucks are a tiny segment only rperesented by a couple of limited 
styles in S scale...  The Symington-Gould double truss trucks exist in S, but 
they are hard to find.  I built some NYC M&E cars with them, interestingly 
enough those very cars are pictured in a Symington-Gould ad reproduced on page 
23 of RPC Volume 8!!   I believe Andy Malette and Rusty have done some GSC 
truck castings, again very limited...   Oh what I wouldn't give for a nice 
roller bearing ASF A-3 Ride Control truck...
