Bob, I looked again at your B unit ends. I see you did what I first did and
that is to cut out the original end, cut it down the center and glue it flat. I
later bought two River Raisin brass ends for two A units. My B's now have the
flat ends resin cast from Am Models scrap shell ends. I won't be adding any
detail as I plan to install diaphragms. I also retained the peaked overhang of
the roof. The only real problem I see with this type of end modification is the
need to spread the shell sides a bit to install the floor stresses the joint. I
think I will be using 00-90 threaded screws as "pins" through the ends of the
sides into the built up sides of the new ends, cyanopoxied in place.
