To all, I have the Volume 2 Lionel catalog in my possession. According to the description it states: 1:64 scale cars; Scale wheel sets and trucks (however the photo, as with the website look like typical Flyer large flanged wheels. No mention of separate scale wheelsets); Operating Couplers; Diecast metal sprung trucks and operating couplers; Opening hatches on roof; Mounting holes for scale couplers (couplers sold separately [no listing for Flyer scale couplers in the catalog, assuming holes are for the Kadees]); Separately-hand applied hand rails; Minimum curve - 36"; and Length - 10 1/4".
Not sure if this helps, or adds to the confusion.
