O scalers do it all the time with Lionel O > cars.....DaveBranum At O SCALE WEST last year, I saw two vendors whose primary products were Lionel freight cars stacked up high. I was rather surprised at the height of the stack and asked about it. Turns out the products were in Lionel boxes, but were not pure Lionel. It was a Lionel body with ATLAS O trucks attached. The fellow told me that Lionel trucks sometimes fall apart after some use and have a bad reputation. The ATLAS O trucks had a good reputation. Seems like quite a few of the O fellows preferred buying a product with the trucks already "switched" instead of doing the switching themselves. Perhaps we have another budding busiess opportunity here for an S fellow. Cheers...Ed L. PS: At least one Lionel catalog says the cylindrical hopper will come with S scale wheels. Keep your fingers crossed.
