I am very happy with trac_5520-rebase-ref1.patch.
Regarding your point 3 about gtomat, I simply do *not* have the slightest
clue why gtomat is needed. However it is. If it isn't there, PARI will
crash/segfault like crazy. Do you think my putting in a comment that says
"I have no clue why" is useful?
