Hi Simon,
OK, so it seems that I provided a "fix" that does not always work from
within Sage, and your original package setup
does not always work with sage -i.
In your case, the safest would be just to call "sage -gap" and see if it
has SmallGroups stuff loaded.
E.g. just check that the output of
{{{
echo "SmallGroup(13,1); quit;" | $SAGE_ROOT/sage -gap -b -T | grep "13"
}}}
is nonempty.
