Now that's weird.
I took the spkg-install as you suggested. But the test for the presence of
database_gap failed:

sage subshell$ ./spkg-install
/bin/ls: cannot access database_gap-*.spkg: No such file or directory
Failed to find SmallGroups library. Please install the database_gap spkg,
and make sure the corresponding spkg file (or any file with the same
name!) is present in spkg/standard
}}}
In other word: For me, the original version works, but the modified
version doesn't.
