I spent an hour trying to sort this out, and my only conclusion is that on
a clean and fresh install things work both ways.
Apparently there is a subtle bug that only manifests itself after
unsuccessful installs of spkgs, something gets inconsistent...
I propose to mark this ticket as "won't fix", as this is certainly nothing
wrong
with this spkg (except that hg inconsistency one can live with, at least
if a new spkg release is coming).
