 thanks, Jeroen.  I will test and fix what I find in elliptic_curves
 (except perhaps the failures in heegner.py).

 There's one test failure in ell_rational_field (extraneous warning output
 from eclib) which will go away if the patches from #9247 are applied, so I
 think there is no need to do anything about this at present.
