Why do you chose that name? The .p7 should only be integrated into Sage
where there are 7 previous versions of 2.4.3. Since the software says
{{{
Shall we try to build pari 2.4.3 (development svn-12543) now (y/n)? [n]
}}}
I think a better name would be
{{{
pari-2.4.3.svn-12543
}}}
as that is the version of Pari that it is based upon. Then, assuming this
version was merged, subsequent updates in Sage would be called
pari-2.4.3.svn-12543.p0, pari-2.4.3.svn-12543.p1, pari-2.4.3.svn-12543.p2
etc.
Certainly, the first revision put into Sage should not have a patch level
of 7.
http://www.sagemath.org/doc/developer/patching_spkgs.html
says ''If the upstream package is taken from some revision other than a
stable version, you need to append the date at which the revision is made,
e.g. the Singular package singular-3-1-0-4-20090818.p3.spkg is made with
the revision as of 2009-08-18. ''
However, I think in this case, the fact the upstream does have a version
number (in this case 2.4.3.svn-12543), that should be used rather than a
date.
