Currently in Sage with Pari 2.3.5 there is
* {{{patches/paripriv-osx.h}}} which gets copied on only OS X
* {{{patches/paripriv-Solaris.h}}} which gets copied on both Solaris and
Cygwin.
The new version has just patches/files/paripriv.h which gets copied on all
3 operating systems. IIRC, the changes needed on Solaris (and I guess
Cygwin, as it uses the Solaris patch) were quite small. The changes needed
on OS X were much more significant. Was this an oversight to remove the OS
X patch, or a deliberate decision?
