 I got an account on bsd.math and tested on OSX 10.4 Intel. I had to change
 the way the package detects which fortran compiler is used, so this is now
 done without resorting to checking for platforms (Darwin, etc) at all.
 So after these changes it tested OK on OSX10.4 Intel, OSX10.5 PPC, Solaris
 (t2) and Debian x64.
 The updated version is uploaded.

 At any rate, a test on OSX 10.6 would be great to have.
