 Not sure what the problem was. I did a bit of rewriting on how I apply the
 patches in sage-on-gentoo to make it a bit more transparent. Reapplied all
 the patches, rebuild and now the test looks fine

          [4.6 s]

 Total time for all tests: 4.6 seconds
