Patch's up!
For the record: I started with sage-4.7.alpha5, then the first five
patches from here, then from #11139, and finally the sixth patch from
here.
I verified that the tests of sage.rings.ring pass, because that is what
was modified, and sage.rings.ideal, because that is what the modification
from #11139 is about.
