What I now did was as follows:
* Copy and open the pre-built sage-4.7.2.alpha2.tar.gz for sage.math
(saves a lot of time...)
* qimport and apply the first patch, do `sage -b` and find that pbori.pyx
still passes the tests.
* qimport and apply the second patch, do `sage -b` and confirm the error
that you observed.
At least, now there is a chance for me to debug it...
