 One question: Would you agree that a category with a base ring (such that
 modules over the integers, having the integers as base ring) can never be
 a super-category of a category without a base (such as the category of
 commutative rings)?

 If your answer is "yes" then one can get an "early abort" (hence, a speed-
 up) in `is_subcategory`. It would require to add a `self.base()` method to
 tensor categories and Cartesian product categories, in both cases
 returning `self.base_category().base()`.
