Comment(by SimonKing):

 The doctest failures will be sufficiently easy to fix.

 It will hardly be possible to have #9138 without any regression: After
 all, the initialisation of a good category takes its time. Therefore, I am
 trying to improve various frequently used category operations
 (is_subcategory, all_super_categories, testing ring-ness and field-ness,
 parent class construction) so that in the end the regression is tolerable.

 In addition, I am now trying to look at the concrete examples. I still see
 that in the `prove_BSD` example the same polynomial rings are constructed
 repeatedly. So far, I am mystified: Looking at the code, garbage
 collection of the polynomial ring should simply not happen.
