The Singular developers started their own toric varieties package and gfan
is used for that. This is somewhat recent, so our Singular spkg doesn't
know about it yet. Right now I think there is nothing that Andrey and I
haven't already implemented for toric varieties in Sage. Of course it
still would be nice to tie everything together.
