I wonder, myself. In one of the posts above, I listed what I did in order
to build Sage with gcc "manually".
One question: Is it possible to build Sage by providing the -floop*
options? The problem is that my system gcc is not built with graphite, so
that the -floop* options would not work before the gcc spkg is built. Is
there some option that makes gcc ignore any option that is not supported?
Then, the -floop* options would be ignored initially, but used as soon as
the gcc spkg is installed.
