I thought I'll create some awareness.... For power fluctuations, surges and Lightning strikes, you can use a 6 socket surge protector manufactured by Belkin. Only the model / Belkin Gold series costing approx Rs. 2000/- protects against lightning strikes (and this will be clearly mentioned in the box). It has input sockets and protects for Cable Tv, phone line, and ethernet. And should a lightning damage the equipment, they pay you the cost of the equipment damaged (this also will be mentioned on the box).

You should get this with any computer dealer. -- Regards, Ajay D'Cruz On Fri, Sep 3, 2010 at 12:32 AM, Frederick Noronha < [email protected]> wrote: > Sitting at a cybercafe in Panjim... but when I tried phoning back > home, the ring (finally, and after days) seemed to go through.
