I thought I'll create some awareness.... For power fluctuations, surges and
Lightning strikes, you can use a 6 socket surge protector manufactured by
Belkin.  Only the model / Belkin Gold series costing approx Rs. 2000/-
protects against lightning strikes (and this will be clearly mentioned in
the box). It has input sockets and protects for Cable Tv, phone line, and
ethernet. And should a lightning damage the equipment, they pay you the cost
of the equipment damaged (this also will be mentioned on the box).

There may be other companies manufacturing other lightening
protection products, but my knowledge is limited to this one which I use.
You should get this with any computer dealer.
